About Going Global with Barbara

At Going Global with Barbara, we are passionate about providing unique and authentic travel experiences to our customers. Our journey began in 2019 when our founder, Navy veteran Barbara Eubanks, noticed a lack of diverse and inclusive educational offerings in the travel industry. With her expertise and love for travel, she decided to create a company that would offer just that.

A former general manager of an airline, Pascale Michel joined our team in 2023 to lead our operations and expansion. Pascale has served in several capacities within Going Global, always with an eye on improving guest experiences and taking our mission to the next level. Pascale is a native French speaker who loves Paris and often accompanies groups as a Lead Chaperone. 

Mrs. Candy Hayes has a huge heart for our youth and for travel! As a retired Navy wife who has traveled the world and lived abroad, she has lead several groups of teens through our International Youth Leadership Program in Paris. Ms. Candy is beloved and respected by our students and the students of her mentoring organization, Daniel's Blessing in Portsmouth, Virginia. 

Ms. La-Rene (La-rain) is an experienced world traveler who joined the Going Global family in 2025. She is a California-based corporate professional and a passionate youth mentor working to bring international programs to girls in San Diego. Ms. La-Rene will be joining us on Paris and Barcelona trips in 2025. 

Ms. Jewel is a former teacher who has been serving as a Lead Chaperone with Going Global for the last three years. Ms. Jewel has lead several groups of teens on our International Youth Leadership Programs in Paris and Barcelona. As an Army veteran, Ms. Jewel brings solid leadership skills and a heart for our youth that endears our young travelers to her as a trusted guide and mentor. 

Ms. Tomekeo is a proud veteran and corporate professional who first joined us as a Going Global parent when her son first traveled with us to Paris in 2023. In 2024, it was her turn to join our team as a traveler and now chaperone. Ms. Tomekeo is an experienced world traveler whose superpower is bringing big fun to every Going Global outing.
